Safety
Our rules, and child safety.
These standards apply to the Citizens Party app and everything posted through it. Last updated October 29, 2026.
What members can post
Members post short written proposals, at most 75 characters each. The app has no photos, videos, private messages or chat.
What's never allowed
- Any content that sexualizes or exploits children. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
- Hate, threats or harassment.
- Illegal content.
- Anyone's private details, such as an address or phone number.
The app is for adults only. Members must be 18 or older.
How to report
- In the app, open the proposal and tap Report this proposal.
- Or email admin@citizensparty.ca.
- To stop seeing a member's proposals, open their page and tap Ignore this member.
What we do
- We read every report.
- Content that exploits children is reported to Canada's national tip line, Cybertip.ca, and to the police, as Canadian law requires.
- We stop showing content that breaks these rules in our app and on the party's own hosts, and we cooperate with law enforcement.
